"Yes, I will rejoice, for I know that through your prayers and the help of the Spirit of Jesus Christ this will turn out for my deliverence, as it is my eager expectation and hope that I will not be at all ashamed ,but that with full courage now as always Christ will be honored in my body whether by life or by death" Phillipians 1:18-20
Our God is so faithful!! Your prayers have made such a difference and we are confident that God will be glorified through this experience. Thank you for the way that you care for us. Gerald is doing well. He has felt somewhat better today. The pain is not too bad and his spirits are good. We have two visits to the operating room scheduled. Tomorrow morning they will put him to sleep to clean the leg and replace the bandages. On Tuesday they will finally close the wound and hopefully, he will begin to heal. We have no idea yet how long we will be here, but we do know that there is a long recovery ahead. We appreciate all of your thoughts and prayers. We can't wait to see all of you, but during our time at Duke, please call before you come.

Hi Gerald and Susan,
ReplyDeleteI have been sitting here typing and then deleting what I wrote and typing something else then deleting that too...truth is, I just don't have the words to say how shocked and saddened we were to learn about the accident. Please know that we are praying for you and if we can help you in any way please just ask.
