Sorry for the delay in getting out news. The internet at the hospital kicked me off every time I tried to post. I am at home getting things ready for tomorrow. Dr. Levin came in this morning and looked at the graft for the first time. He was very pleased. He confirmed that Gerald must stay in a recline position for at least 2 weeks, then we will go from there. They will outfit us with a new kind of cycle - this one has two wheels like a bike, but it must be pushed from behind. Hopefully, he will be safer in this one!! Our goal from the first has been that Gerald will be able to do the things he loves again and cycling is one of those - so yes, he will ride again.
We certainly feel your prayers and we are so encouraged in how you are ministering to us, but also to each other. I've heard that the stew went great and I plan to take Gerald some for dinner tonight. We certainly will miss worshipping with you again tomorrow, but I trust that the focus will be on God and His glory as always.
In Him,
Susan

  2. WELCOME HOME GERALD!

So glad to hear your leg is 'pristine', of original beauty, or is it your stitches? i can't remember what JT said!

we had you and Susan in our prayers at church today. i figure we had to pray, because i really want to take 'bets' on how long you stay in bed with your leg lifted. Dr. said 2-6 weeks! i'm betting 2-6 days!

what a beautiful day to come home! hugs to you both,
    Laurie B and family
